Your doula is there to teach and assist with breastfeeding, maternal postnatal and newborn care and understanding your newborn (bathing, diapering, umbilical cord care, soothing techniques, and reading your baby's cues for feeding and sleeping, learning to pump if needed). We are also knowledgeable on how to pump and introduce a bottle in preparation for work outside the home.
We are helpful around the house taking care of necessary tasks for the family such as laundry, errands, meal preparation and tidying up. We're very good healthy cooks!
Thereafter you may add additional hours with the same doula as needed.
You interview the doula before the birth at your home to become acquainted with one another and then the doulas time is reserved with a $300 deposit.
Once you reserve your doula with a deposit it will be the same woman you met who will help after the birth.
It is Doula Care Postpartum service policy to deal agreeably and fairly with our clients. If you need to extend the time frame to use the 15 hours beyond two weeks, let us know. It's easiest to be accommodating and flexible when we understand your situation. Clients are always welcome to add additional hours beyond the initial fifteen hour package with the same doula.
The deposit reserving your doula is non-refundable.
